Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh admitted to AIIMS in Delhi
  Manmohan Singh, who currently represents Rajasthan in the Rajya Sabha, has had two heart bypass surgeries - one in 1990 and the other in 2009.


 New Delhi: Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was admitted to AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in Delhi on Sunday night for chest problems.  The veteran Congress leader was taken to the cardio-thoracic ward of the hospital at 8.45 am and is being inspected by doctors.
  The 87-year-old two-time prime minister is not in the ICU (intensive care unit).  According to news agency PTI, he was treated by cardiology professor Drs.  Nitish Naik is doing.

  The former prime minister faced a downfall shortly before the March adjournment in Parliament amid an outbreak of coronovirus.  At that time his doctors advised full bedrest.

  Manmohan Singh, who currently represents Rajasthan in the Rajya Sabha, has had two heart bypass surgeries - one in 1990 and the other in 2009.  He also has a history of diabetes.

  Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot  To express concern over Singh's health, tweeted, "Former PM is very worried to know Dr. Manmohan Singhji, he is admitted to AIIMS. I wish him speedy recovery and good health and longevity."  Am. "

  Earlier this week Manmohan Singh attended a video conference with Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and chief ministers of party-ruled states, including Mr. Gehlot, and questioned the Centre's decision during the coronovirus lockdown.

 The former Prime Minister who spoke after Mrs Gandhi said: "We need to know, as Soniaji has said, what will happen after the lockout 3.0".

  The Chief Ministers, the former PM said, need to be deliberate and ask what was the Indian government's strategy to get the country out of the lockdown.

  India imposed a nationwide lockout on 25 March to slow the spread of coronovirus.  Since then, the shutdown has been extended twice on 14 April and 4 May.  The third phase will end on 17 May, but restrictions have been relaxed in areas affected by the virus.
