Coronavirus breaking news: Donald Trump's confrontation with journalists
Donald Trump concludes the White House press conference after heated exchanges with two American journalists.
The President of the United States was challenged by a reporter that when people were dying of coronavirus in the United States, he joined the US Army along with other countries. Why so much attention was put to comparing tests.
Mr. Trump initially said: "Well, they are losing their lives everywhere in the world." Then he said: "And maybe this is a question you should ask China. Don't ask me, ask China this question, or right?"
The answer came from Asian-American journalist Weizia Jiang, a White House reporter for CBS News. He replied: "Sir, why are you calling to me for that special?"
Mr. Trump replied: "I'm telling with you ,but I'm not telling anyone to specifically."
The president then called another reporter, who barred Ms. Jiang from allowing him to continue his exchanges with Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump then decided to wrap up the news conference without answering further questions.
